“Overall it's a beautiful property. The rooms, pools, beach and other amenities are all very nice. The main concern we had was that it is essentially a "compound". You can't talk to a nearby town or enjoy local culture because the resorts are all very separated from the rest of the island. We also thought the food was not up to the standard of other RIU Palace hotels. This was our fourth stay at a RIU Palace and the food at the others was definitely better. “Property is beautiful but there is no swimmable beach. They have a shuttle to another resort but they only do it twice a day, You have to pay $10 each but it is consummable, You can use the chairs and umbrellas but by the time you get there after 11 they are all occupied, if you don’t care about the beach then its ok.
